How long does a commercial defit take?

What is involved in a commercial de-fit?

Depending on the area, specific needs, and upcoming fitout intentions, this can encompass:

Installing or preparing floor coverings
Repainting surfaces
Addressing issues with ceilings, walls, and carpets
Removing any existing installations such as signage, partitions, shelving, or light fixtures
Overseeing any demolition work
Cleaning and disposing of debris
Carrying out general property maintenance, including fixing loose fixtures, addressing repairs, tending to electrical and plumbing needs, and providing air conditioning service reports
Ensuring fire extinguishers are serviced and maintaining a log book for them.

How do I get started with my de-fit?

Below is the process for a Commercial de-fit for end of lease:

A. Review your 'Make Good' Clause: Examine the terms outlined in your tenancy agreement regarding the de-fit requirements.

B. Book Your De-fit: Schedule a site consultation with us to obtain a quote, an estimation on the timeline, and to understand the specifics of your de-fit. Following this, we'll secure a date for the de-fit to commence.

C. Plan: If your lease is ending at the month's close and your de-fit is expected to take a week, it's advisable to have your equipment removed two weeks before your departure date.

D. Pack Up: Ensure that all your equipment is packed up and anything you intend to take with you is removed. The goal is to have the space as empty or clear as possible.

E. Leave it to Us: Once the space is cleared, entrust us to handle the rest. We'll ensure it's in impeccable condition for the next occupant.
